Instructor Alex Genther started his martial arts journey at the age of 7 years old in 1994 in Wilmington, North Carolina. Back then, he was just another hyperactive child with a lot of energy, but no passion for much other than video games and Saturday morning cartoons.

After a few trial classes, Alex began to grow into something different. Cultivating values such as respect, focus, integrity, discipline, a proper attitude, good sportsmanship, loyalty, a positive mindset, and passion went hand in hand with his martial arts skills.

The transition from student to instructor began when Instructor Alex got his first degree Black Belt in Karate at the age of 18.

Since then, he has become a 4th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and has trained under many martial arts masters. While the self-defense and cool martial arts moves have always been fun, Alex knows firsthand the life-transforming power of martial arts is something both kids and adults need in their lives.

He believes in a martial arts program that not only offers well rounded physical activity, but also involves character development and building a strong moral compass!

Martial arts training has a multitude of benefits for the body, mind, and spirit. Through years of training and teaching, Alex knows firsthand that martial arts benefits the students, their families, and the community in a way that's different from every other sport or physical activity. It has changed the course of his life, and it can change yours as well!
